Dr. Lorie Ritschel is a certified DBT clinician through the Linehan Board and is a national trainer of DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas, completed her predoctoral internship at Duke University Medical Center, and completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Duke and Emory University School of Medicine.
She joined the faculty at Emory in 2008, where she founded and directed the DBT program for adolescents and young adults at Emory’s Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP). In 2013, she moved back to North Carolina and joined the faculty at UNC and founded the DBT program for adolescents and young adults at 3C Family Services in Cary.
Dr. Ritschel is delighted to join the team at Durham DBT, where she will focus on the treatment of depression, anxiety, and emotion dysregulation in adolescents and adults using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Activation (BA).
